The conference had a great turn out of local long term care facilities, public health officials and emergency management representatives. Speakers presented topics that ranged from reviews of real world events, to epidemiological concerns. A special thanks goes to Capt. Chip Everett and Katie Bradford for presenting.

Volunteers can now log in and sign-up for available events or “missions” within the system, as well as be alerted and respond in new ways. The sign-up process is also significantly easier than in previous versions, and very user-friendly. Don’t hesitate! Sign-up today!

The training and lessons learned will be invaluable in the event of an actual MI-TESA deployment during cold weather. The demobilization of the MI-TESA on thursday went very well, and the 5DMRC appreciates all those that contributed.

It is now day 2 of our MI-TESA drill. Setup went very well yesterday and there was great show of support from Region 5 MRC, Region 2 South and participants from several regional hospitals. The day began at 0700, transport of the system occurred at 0930 and construction of the system started at 1100. The American Red Cross is providing food and beverages for the drill. Featured is an on-going Flickr feed of photos throughout the drill.
